Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

Have you ever read a series that touched your heart and you soul?

Or read sentences that you want to bottle and preserve t0 keep on a shelve?

Well, this series did and I am buying hard copies – just for my book shelve!

This series so far touched me as much as Twilight did – but there is no comparison – it touched me in a way that is hard to explain and I will always remember it!

I wanted to add the entire book to this review – but then I would get kicked out of GR for good wink – BUT WHAT I CAN SAY it touched my heart and soul and made it bleed!

How I missed Kaz and Inej but “Leigh” incorporated two other pairs in this magnificent story, do not get me wrong I wanted to strangle them all at stages but they all contributed to a perfect storyline

Jesper and Wylan

Nina and Matthias

A few Quotes I loved

“Jesper struck a match and one, two, three, four, five of the rockets Wylan had prepared were screaming toward the sky, exploding in crackling bursts of color.”

“She made herself remember every terrible thing she’d said, every wild pleasure offered, each insult or accusation she’d hurled at him..”

“What about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? We learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns.”

“She had chosen to live freely as a killer rather than die quietly as a slave, and she could not regret that.” .
Explicit Version – do not listen if you get offended easily

Eminem – No Love (Explicit Version) ft. Lil Wayne.…

“You dug this grave. Go lie in it.”

I do not want to say more – as many friends and fellow readers did not read this yet – AND YES I will recommend this to all YA lovers!

Me while reading this

And now I have a book hangover 😦

To the author
WOW – just WOW – I do not have enough words to explain how this book once again touched my soul after reading Six of Crows
